Competing in the tight competition of the Indonesian Super League (LSI), Arema Indonesia version of Rendra Kresna (RK) immediately boasted of becoming the champion. Relying on 23 players who are already experienced in playing in the highest division of Indonesia, the pride of the Malang youth is optimistic that they can be the best.
To prove its desire, Arema Indonesia version RK which was launched on Sunday (4/12) on Jl Sultan Agung Malang City immediately targeted Persela Lamongan as a victim. Laskar Joko Tingkir who is still struggling to prepare the team to face LSI is targeted as the first meal at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Kepanjen, Tuesday (6/12).
Arema Indonesia President Rendra Kresna said that when preparing the team, his team never did half-heartedly, including when facing LSI at this time. Relying on quality players and supported by qualified coaches, Singo Edan set a target of winning.
"It's no problem facing teams that are already well-prepared such as Persipura, Sriwijaya FC, Persib Bandung, Pelita Jaya, Persisam Samarinda, Mitra Kukar. With the support of Aremania, we are confident that we can become champions," Rendra explained, Sunday (4/12).
Arema coach Wolfgang Pikal admitted that his team is very ready to compete, including when hosting Persela Lamongan in the first match. Playing at home, the former assistant coach of the National Team will instruct his team to play aggressively.
"We certainly won't reveal what strategy we will use to defeat Persela now, what is clear is that playing at home we will play aggressively and win," said Wolfgang.
With currently having 23 players and four of them are foreign players, Wolfgang admitted that to increase the strength of the team, his team will add one more foreign player. One of the players whose abilities will now be seen soon is former Persija player, Olivier Makor.
Arema captain Charis Yulianto admitted that he has no problem facing the demands of the football public in Malang who always want to see their team win. Such an atmosphere actually makes his enthusiasm to be able to bring Singo Edan to always win even higher.
