Messages to be conveyed to the public can not only be conveyed with words, canvas can also be a powerful medium. This is also what the children of SDN Purwantoro I did who chose to convey a message of love for the environment through painting, Monday (19/12).

So enthusiastic in expressing their love for the environment since the sun just rose, the children of SDN I Purwantoro were already in action in front of the school. Lined up to draw according to their wishes on a 15-meter long white cloth.
Adiwiyata Coordinator of SDN Purwantoro I school, Poppy Riana SS, said that this action was carried out to foster children's love for the environment. On the canvas, children are given the freedom to draw with the theme of the environment, after being finished, the children's work will be displayed in front of the school entrance.
"There is no need for words, just with pictures children will convey their love for the environment," explained Poppy, Monday, (19/12).
To complete the picture, Popy said that 28 children from SDN Purwantoro I were involved. The children were taken from grades 2-5 who have a hobby of painting.
A 2nd grade student of SDN Purwantoro I, Sabina Putri Maharani, revealed that she drew a rural nature. She made this drawing because she was inspired by the cool rural nature in one of the villages in Malang.
"I forgot what village I visited, the air was cool, the water was clear, there were lots of fish there. "The eyes and mind become fresh when looking at it, I want Malang City to be as cool and fresh as the village," said Sabina.
Meanwhile, Chika Ausha Putri Pantoro admitted that drawing illegal logging is very dangerous for the earth, and is currently increasingly disturbing. She wants illegal logging stopped, so that the earth will be green again and more comfortable to live in. (cah/dmb)
