In the first match in the Budhe Karwo Cup Tournament, the Malang City team will immediately face a tough match against the host Putri Surabaya. Ensuring victory can be obtained, the Malang City women's soccer team looked serious undergoing morning training at the Gajayana Outdoor Stadium, Monday (19/12).
Malang City women's soccer team coach, Dwi Karyawanto, said he was still blind to the strength of the opponent they would face in Surabaya. However, seeing Malang City's preparations that had been carried out since long ago, former coach Domhill Jr. was very confident that his team could become champions.
"Approaching the day of the tournament, we are more focused on finalizing the results. I saw earlier that the children increasingly understand how I want to play," explained Anthok, Dwi Karyawanto's nickname, Monday (19/12).
According to Antok, by using the knockout system, to be able to ensure becoming a champion, every match must be won. Therefore, whoever the opponent is, including the host, must be defeated in the first match.
Apart from the Malang City and Surabaya women's teams participating in the Bude Karwo Cup tournament, 14 other teams also participated. Namely Putri Bima Unesa, Kowal, Jember, Persida, Piems Surabaya, Ning Surabaya, Kirana Kediri, Pengcab PSSI Kediri, Forgu FC Kediri, UNITY, SMAN 9, Gemas, Asyabab, Asyabab AMS. (cah/dmb)
