The various physical developments programmed by the Malang City Government in Sukun District in 2012 are very numerous and their values range from tens to hundreds of millions of rupiah. The development of various public facilities includes the construction of drainage, integrated health posts, rehabilitation of the sub-district office, PAUD posts, and other supporting facilities. The development is intended for the improvement and progress of the community, especially those in the Sukun District area. In order for everything to run according to the program, all parties are responsible and supervise it, including the community.

That was what Sulik Lestyowati conveyed when holding the 2011 recess II in the hall of Gadang Village, Wednesday (21/11/2011) night. The Democrat Party politician invited 250 residents who attended that night to help monitor various developments in Sukun District in 2012. "Let's monitor it together. If there is something that is not right, we must ask for clarification," he said.
In addition to inviting residents to monitor various developments, Sulik also explained about public services in Malang city that are still not optimal. According to this veiled woman, Malang city residents must be aware of this, because the public service regulation proposed by the Malang City DPRD some time ago was rejected by the mayor of Malang. "The mayor rejected the regulation on the grounds that there was no PP yet. After it was rejected, we also submitted an initiative regulation, and it turned out to be rejected again. The initiative regulation will be proposed again in 2012," she explained.
The residents' representatives also asked about the implementation of E-KTP and public services such as controlling advertisements that are pasted anywhere. Related to this, Sulik explained that the implementation of E-KTP is also still hampered by the government's tools that have not been optimized properly. Meanwhile, for controlling advertisements, he explained, there are still limitations in the budget and personnel in the Malang City Satpol PP. "Apart from all that, as a people's representative from the Sukun sub-district electoral district, I will continue to strive to overcome these things," he continued.
The issue of free education initiated by the Malang City Government has also been a question for residents of Sukun District. Regarding this free education, Sulik explained, it is still in process and waiting for technical instructions from the Malang City Education Office regarding which schools will be free later. "Not all schools are free, but there are several requirements for schools and students who are entitled to receive this program. Such as low community participation around the school and also students who come from underprivileged families. If they meet these requirements, then the school and students are entitled to enjoy the free school," he added. (say/dmb)
