In order to improve the quality of coaching given to scouts, the Malang City Scout Movement Branch Office held various trainings. One of them is the Basic Advanced Coach Course (KMD), at the Scout Training Center, Sawojajar, Malang City, Monday (26/12) to Saturday (31/12).
The course attended by elementary school teachers/MI throughout Malang City was opened directly by the Mayor of Malang Drs Peni Suparto, M.AP. This event was attended by participants from various sub-districts in Malang City.
The head of the course committee, Abdul Hakim, said that the KMD course was attended by 250 participants from elementary schools/Islamic elementary schools throughout Malang City. Where each sub-district in Malang City sent 50 representatives.
"This KMD program is a continuation of the Kamagugus program, where the principals of junior high and senior high schools in Malang City were given courses in advance on scouting development," explained Hakim, Monday (26/12).
With this activity, Hakim hopes that the Scout leaders in Malang City can be more qualified. So that when handling scouting in their respective schools they can do it as well as possible.
Secretary of the Malang City Scout Branch, Drs Imam Bukhori added that with this activity it is hoped that it can improve the character of Indonesian citizens which is currently fading. Where now there are four main pillars that must continue to be maintained, starting from Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. (cah/dmb)
