The determination of PDI Perjuangan Malang City to nominate Dra. Hj. Heri Pudji Utami, M.AP in the upcoming 2013 Malang Mayoral Election is getting stronger. The wife of the mayor of Malang is the only candidate supported by all elements of the party starting from the sub-branches, branches, Sub-Branch Leadership (PAC) to the PDI Perjuangan Malang City Branch Leadership Council (DPC).
The nomination of the sole candidate has gone through party mechanisms, such as the deliberations held at each level of the party some time ago. The PDI Perjuangan DPC of Malang City only put forward one candidate, and this candidate must be supported by all party components to win the 2013 Malang mayoral election.
That was what was conveyed by the chairman of the PDI Perjuangan DPC for Malang City, Drs. Peni Suparto, M.AP at the opening of the PDI Perjuangan branch work meeting (Rakercab) held at the Kartini Imperial Building or the TP PKK building in Malang City, Jalan Tangkuban Perahu, Thursday (29/12). This Rakercab is an annual party agenda that must be attended by party cadres.
In the opening session of the regional work meeting, the PDI Perjuangan Malang City also invited representatives from other parties, such as from PKS, Hanura Party, Golkar Party, members of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Malang Raya-Sri Rahayu electoral district, from the East Java PDI Perjuangan DPD and also the Regent of Probolinggo.
The Head of the PDI Perjuangan DPC who is also the Mayor of Malang said that in addition to winning the mayoral election, his party is also targeting that the PDI Perjuangan in Malang City will also be able to win the legislative and presidential elections in 2014. "Let's make Malang City red for the upcoming democratic party," he said loudly.
The man who is often called Inep added, although there is only one single candidate for Mayor of Malang, the party is opening up opportunities for other cadres who want to register and run for mayor. "Anyone can register as long as they can meet the various requirements that have been agreed upon by the party," he added.
"Some of the requirements are, quality of human resources, proven figures in the party, clear history, no involvement with legal issues and have a budget. If you can meet these requirements, please register with PDI Perjuangan," continued Inep. (say/dmb)
