Ahead of the Malang City Pilkada on May 23, 2013, the Malang City KPUD is ready to compile the Temporary Voter Data (DPS). The DPS will be compiled in January.

The compilation of the DPS will be carried out after the Malang City KPUD receives the List of Potential Voters for the Election (DP4) from the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office. This was conveyed by the head of the Malang City KPUD, Hendri, ST after receiving the DP4 from the Malang City Government, Thursday (06/12) at the Malang City Hall.
Hendri said that on Thursday for the upcoming Pilkada, Dispendukcapil submitted 631.216 residents. From the data, the largest population is in Kedungkandang District, which is 142.585 people. The second largest population is Sukun District which is 142.106 people.
After receiving the Population Aggregate List of Sub-districts (DAK2) of Malang City and DP4 at that time. Hendri added that the third largest population is Blimbing Sub-district, which is 138.073 people. Followed by Lowokwaru Sub-district with 122.437 people, and finally Klojen Sub-district with 86.015 people.
This data, said Hendri, will later be used to determine the DPS through a verification process.
Meanwhile, the Population Aggregate List per Sub-district (DAK2) of Malang City is 753.422, with details of 372.963 women and 380.459 men.
"The DAK2 data is for each district, so we will use it as a reference for initial mapping and determining the number of TPS," he explained.
Based on previous regional election experiences, Malang City has 1.200 polling stations, and each polling station has 600 people. The submission of population data to the KPUD this year, according to Hendri, the Malang City Government worked on it faster because the actual schedule was December 23. (say/ika)
