Building mutually beneficial synergy with the government, Ma Chung University continues to make various breakthroughs. Among them is by collaborating with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) to carry out cooperation, Thursday (28/11).

Officially marking the cooperation with BPPT, Ma Chung University signed a memorandum of understanding, Thursday (28/11). Ma Chung University was represented by Rector Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D, while BPPT was represented by Dr. Ir. Listyani Wijayanti (Deputy for Agro-Industrial Technology and Biotechnology BPPT).
Leenawaty Limantara said that cooperation on research and application of mini-natural technology is very important for Ma Chung University. Where Ma Chung University has always expanded and deepened the synergy of ABG (Academics-Government and business/industry) so that Ma Chung University's research is in accordance with the needs of society and is right on target.
"ABG Synergy is the main target of Ma Chung University in making real contributions in the field of research through the Ma Chung Research Center for Phothosynthetic Pigments," explained Shinta, Leenawaty Limantara's nickname, Thursday (28/11).
From that fact, the cooperation between Ma Chung University that has been established with the industry needs to be completed, supported by cooperation with the government. In this case, cooperation with BPPT as a state agency that accommodates the application of technology in Indonesia.
Shinta mentioned one of the real forms of this cooperation, including by working together to make herbal anti-hyper cholesterol products. Currently, this drug has been completed and is undergoing pre-clinical trials, before being sold on the market.
Listyani Wijayanti said that the cooperation with Ma Chung University is expected to benefit both parties. This kind of cooperation has often been done with state universities, but for private universities, Ma Chung University is the first to cooperate. (cah/dmb)
