Commemorating World Anti-Corruption Day, the Malang City District Attorney's Office (Kejari) held a gathering in the yard of the Kejari Office. This event contained a message to realize a clean, transparent Indonesia without corruption, Monday (9/12).

Present at this event were the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, the Chief of Malang Police AKBP Totok Suharyanto, the Commander of Kodim 0833 Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Gunawan Wijaya, the Deputy of the District Court (PN) of Malang City Ahmad Guntur. Also present at this event was the Caretaker of the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School, KH. Lukman Alkarim who gave a sermon.
Malang City District Attorney Munasim said that he deliberately held this activity as a means of friendship to jointly fight corruption. Because even though many corruption cases have occurred and been tried, it turns out that corruption cases in Indonesia are still rampant.
"Corruption cases in Indonesia are not sophisticated, in fact, currently many corruption cases can be revealed," explained Munasim, Monday (9/12).
Munasim said, with Indonesia currently ranked 140th out of 170 most corrupt countries (ranking 170 is the most corrupt, ed) according to a survey by an international institution, this clearly damages the image of this nation. The continued occurrence of corruption shows the poor public service aspect.
"SKPD should be of a service nature, the rate for a service should be written on the board," explained Munasim.
A small example is to build a building, it must be clearly stated on the board how much it costs to take care of the HO permit, how much the IMB is. The hope is that the public will not be surprised, because it is also known how much the cost is for the measuring officer, the land monitoring committee, to the registration fee, it must be transparently written.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton fully supports law enforcement efforts carried out if corruption occurs. Activities like this are expected to further improve cooperation between the district court, prosecutor's office, and the National Police to continue serving the community.
"The fact is that out of 511 regional heads in Indonesia, 311 have been jailed. This should be a concern. In the future, Malang City must be more careful," explained Anton. (cah/dmb)
