Malang Mall Will Be Transformed into a Village Feel

The fourth Malang Shopping Adventure (MSA) will be held on March 29-April 20, 2014. The event, which is driven by the Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI) DPC Malang, will be attended by ten malls in Malang and one mall in Batu City. The malls are Sarinah, Ramayana, Mitra, Malang Plaza, Matahari, Dieng Plaza, MOG, MX Mall, Matos, Araya and Batos.

This MSA is an annual agenda of DPC APPBI Malang City, and for 2014 it will also be a moment to enliven the 100th anniversary of Malang City or one century. Therefore, this year's event will be held with a different nuance from the previous MSA-MSA events.

That was what was conveyed by the chairman of the 4th MSA committee, M. Febi Damayanti at the socialization event of the event at Plaza Araya, Wednesday (11/12). According to him, in the 4th MSA, APPBI DPC Malang will enliven it by holding a shopping spree with prizes of 1 car and 100 other consolation prizes.

"In addition, the 4th MSA will also carry an educational theme, namely learning the history of Malang City. The historical education in question is about the origins of the villages in Malang City, which will later be used as decorations in all malls participating in the 4th MSA," explained Febi.

The woman in the hijab added that several events would also enliven the 4th MSA, namely: fun bikes, shopping discounts of up to 70 percent at each participating mall. "For purchases/shopping of Rp. 50 thousand, you will get one coupon to be drawn and have the chance to win a car prize, and there will be a quiz tour the mall," said Febi.

Meanwhile, the Head of APPBI DPC Malang, Fifi Trisjanti said, although there are many malls in Malang, but if we only rely on sales, then we will lose to Surabaya and Jakarta. Therefore, these malls must be creative, and one of them is by holding events as often as possible. "In Malang, branded goods are minimal and lose to big cities like Surabaya and Jakarta. If not accompanied by events, then the mall will stagnate," she said.

"For the 4th MSA, I really appreciate the positive, because it is packaged in a different event from the previous event. Later, there will be big discounts and how to get to know the regional culture with prizes. We want the best, from this event later," Fifi hoped. (say/dmb)
