In order to welcome the regional elections in Malang City which will be held on 23 May 2013, the Malang City KPUD today, Monday (31/12) held a peaceful action and socialization regarding this democratic celebration.
Using motorbikes and cars involving elements of KPUD, Aremania, PPK and community groups, the procession, which was followed by around a hundred people, went around the streets of Malang City.
The procession started from Jalan Semeru and finished at Malang City Hall. In addition to conveying an invitation for residents to participate in the upcoming regional elections, through loudspeakers, the participants of this peaceful action also distributed pamphlets containing the invitation.
This event, according to the chairman of the Malang City KPUD, Hendry ST, is an election socialization event, and it is hoped that all Malang City residents who have the right to vote can participate by coming to the TPS on May 23, 2013 and casting their votes.
"For the success of the regional elections, especially the closest one on May 23, 2013, do not let Malang City residents who have the right to vote become golput/not cast their vote. Good citizens are citizens who obey the rules, and the casting of votes has also been regulated by law," explained Hendry.
Hendry added, for residents of Malang City who have not registered, they should immediately register themselves with the local RT/RW as voters from January 23 to March 31, 2013. "Use your right to vote as best you can, because if... not voting is no fun"Hendry invited, which is also in line with the KPUD motto for the upcoming 2013 regional elections. (say/dmb)
