Not only skilled in processing waste into compost, residents of RW 2, Sukoharjo Village, Klojen District, Malang City are also very skilled in making fresh drinks in packaging. So delicious and fresh are the drinks produced by residents of RW 2, only a few moments after being held at the RW Hall during the village blusukan activity yesterday, the drink products were immediately sold out, Sunday (30/11).

RW 2 resident, Nurhayati, said that she has been making various processed products from the harvests of RW 2 residents. In addition to drinks made from passion fruit, her group also makes drink products from rosella flowers, ginger, and cassava chips.
"Not only are they selling well in Malang, the products we make have also reached outside Java," explained Nurhayati, Sunday (30/11).
Nurhayati said that although her product already has many fans, she has difficulty developing this product on a large scale. In addition to the raw materials that are still limited, there is also no permit from the Health Service or BPOM (Food and Drug Supervisory Agency, ed.).
"Because we don't have a permit yet, we haven't sold to the open market or supermarkets. We hope to get help from the Malang City Government to process the permit, because so far we have found it difficult," said Nurhayati.
On the other hand, the Chairperson of TP PKK Malang City, Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani admitted that the processed products from RW 2 residents are good and very marketable. Her party is ready to help with the permit processing and at the same time help with marketing.
"To obtain permits, women in RW 2 can look for 30 fellow packaged drink makers in Malang City. "If there are already 30 people, we will help with the arrangements so that the permits can be issued quickly," said Umi Farida, Dewi Farida Suryani's nickname. (cah/yon)
