Mother's Day is always very memorable for everyone including the Indonesian Women's Sports Association (Perwosi) of Malang City. In commemoration of Mother's Day this time, Perwosi Malang City held a team walking competition, Sunday (21/12).

A walking race that takes start at Malang City Hall and finish in Tarekot (City Recreation Park) was sent off by the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Ir. Cipto Wiyono, M.Si.
The participants of the walking race were a bit restless because they had to wait a long time for the arrival of the Regional Secretary of Malang City who arrived a bit late to send off the participants of the race.
Upon arrival at Malang City Hall, Cipto apologized for being late because he had just arrived from Trenggalek. As a form of apology, he added two bicycles as a prize for the walk.
"In accordance with the mayor's wishes, this activity is very good for campaigning for a healthy lifestyle through walking," explained Cipto, Sunday (21/12).
"In the future, hopefully activities like this can continue to be encouraged to jointly create a healthy, smart, and brilliant Malang City," said Cipto.
Meanwhile, the committee of the walk, Anna Mairatna, admitted to being happy with the high enthusiasm of Malang City residents to join the Mother's Day walk. Initially, the committee targeted that this race would be attended by 37 participating teams, but it turned out that this walk was attended by up to 80 participating teams.
"This activity covers a 3,5 km route starting in front of Malang City Hall and finish at the Malang City Recreation Park," explained Anna.
The implementation of this activity is not only to commemorate Mother's Day. More than that, this activity is also intended to hone the solidarity, discipline, and fighting spirit of today's mothers.
In the competition, prizes ranging from trophies, bicycles and various other items are up for grabs. door prizes What is assessed is the team's cohesiveness, integrity, and punctuality.
The final result of this competition came out as the first winner was Bhayangkari Polres Malang City, second was won by Polowijen Village, and third was won by Kebonsari Village.
