This event was held in the backyard of the Malang City Hall Office, Monday (22/12). In the fried rice making competition, the heads of departments were seen to be very skilled in mixing spices even though they received a lot of help from staff and wives. They also looked skilled in 'grind' (grinding, ed) the fried rice spices until serving.

Meanwhile, for the tie-tying competition, the wives' eyes are covered with black cloth so that you can see who is used to putting a tie on their husband and which ones rarely wear it. A few moments later it was the turn of the blindfolded husbands to apply make-up to their respective wives' faces.

This competition invited laughter from all the attendees, including the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani who had the opportunity to go around to several participants. "Come on, make up your wife until she's beautiful. Don't use the wrong powder or lipstick," said the woman in the hijab.

After the three competitions were over, it was continued with a balloon dancing competition. The participants paired up and danced to the song that occasionally stopped. This event also invited laughter from the audience at the location because there were participants whose balloons reached their chins.

The Head of TP PKK Malang City, Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani said that this event was not to find a winner, but more as a means of fostering women as wives and as mother figures in households and organizations. "A mother must be able to be a role model for her children and Partner for husbands in the family," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton invited everyone to always appreciate and respect a mother. "Today is Mother's Day. Let's honor our respective mothers. My success is also inseparable from the prayers and support of a mother, and without a mother figure, I would not be like I am today," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton.
