The many criticisms and doubts from the public that Malang City football will not achieve in the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) V Banyuwangi 2015 have irritated the Malang City PSSI (All Indonesia Football Association). Responding to the criticisms and doubts, the Chairman of the Malang City PSSI Association, KH Luqman Al-Karim emphasized that in the Porprov V Banyuwangi 2015, Malang City football's target is to achieve second place, Tuesday (22/12).

Gus Lukman, the nickname of KH Luqman Al-Karim, revealed that under his leadership, the Malang City PSSI Association is very serious about preparing the best football team including to face Porprov V in Banyuwangi. To handle this team, the management of the Malang City PSSI Association has selected coaches and managers who are ready with high targets from the management.
"There are five coaching candidates who will handle the Malang City Porprov V team, while there are six managers," explained Gus Lukman, Tuesday (22/12).
The five coaching candidates are I Putu Gede (ASIFA coach), Jordi Kartiko (Bintang Muda), Aris Bebek (Domhill), Hartoyo (UMM), and Eko Susilo (Indonesia Muda). Meanwhile, for the Porprov V team manager, the candidates are Wahyu Setianto (Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency), Suwarjana (Secretary of the Education Agency), Wasto (Head of the Malang City Cleanliness and Parks Agency), Eko Syah (Cooperatives and UKM Agency), Bambang Suharijadi (Head of the Market Agency), and Chandra Riani (former Klojen Police Chief).
Gus Lukman added, even if they are not selected as coaches in the Porprov V team, the coaches who have entered the top five selection will be given the trust to handle other teams. Among them are the U-11, U-13, U-14, and U-17 teams whose achievements and roles in restoring the glory of Malang City football are also highly anticipated.
"I will announce the coaches and managers of the Malang City Porprov V team on Friday (26/12), while the selection for the Porprov V team will be held starting Sunday (28/12)," said Gus Lukman.
After the player selection is done, the selected players will undergo training camp. The hope is that in the qualifying round of Porprov V which will start in February 2015, the Malang City team has made thorough preparations and is ready for battle so that the target they want to achieve can become a reality.
