Continuing to strive to create a clean government that can prosper its people, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Malang City is increasingly active in making various breakthroughs. This time by holding Forum Group Discussions (FGD) Regional Action Plan, Prevention and Eradication of Corruption (RAD-PPK) at the Atria Hotel, Malang City, Wednesday (24/12).

Present as speakers in this activity were Prof. Mas' ud Said, Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, and moderated by the Head of the Malang City Market Service Ir. Bambang Suharijadi. This activity is a continuation of the previous program where Bapeeda also held a similar activity on December 9, 2014 to commemorate World Anti-Corruption Day.
Mas'ud said that clean, honest and fair governance has now become a shared ideal for all levels of government in Malang City. Therefore, this activity is very good to jointly realize how good governance without corruption can be.
"Activities like this are extraordinary activities carried out by the Mayor (H. Moch. Anton, ed.) who is brave enough to openly take real action to combat corruption," explained Mas'ud, Wednesday (24/12).
Mas'ud explained that the lack of prosperity of society (poverty) occurs due to three categories. The first is natural poverty because natural conditions do not support it. Second, cultural poverty, and third, structural poverty that comes from government policy errors.
"All poverty requires different handling to be able to eradicate it," Mas'ud stressed.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji said that it is time now for corruption eradication to not just be discourse but become a real action.
Eradication of corruption must start from ourselves, starting from the smallest things. "For example, whether when working is disciplined, is it in accordance with the main tasks and functions. Those are small examples that can have a big influence," said Sutiaji. (cah/yon)
