Towards the end of the year, teachers, school cleaning service, as well as TU (Administrative Staff) of private madrasah schools in Malang City looked cheerful when they arrived at the Sasana Krida Budaya of Malang State University (UM). The reason is that at that place the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Malang City distributed incentive money of Rp. 300.000, Monday (29/12).
Deputy Mayor of Malang who is also the Advisor of Baznas Malang City Drs. Sutiaji, Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Malang City KH. Baidowi Muslich, and UM Chancellor Prof. Dr. HAH Rofiuddin, M.Pd were present to provide incentive cash assistance to 600 participants from various regions in Malang City.
Sutiaji said that the provision of this incentive was to appreciate the work of teachers, TU, gardeners of private Islamic schools in Malang City which was extraordinary. The existence of this activity is expected to further increase the enthusiasm of teachers to educate children at school.
"The amount is indeed not much, but this is a form of attention from Baznas and the Malang City Government to teachers who have struggled extraordinarily but whose welfare is still low," explained Sutiaji, Monday (29/12).
In the future, Sutiaji hopes that Baznas Malang City can provide more incentives to teachers in Malang City. Not only that, Baznas in the future must be able to create various empowerment activity programs that can improve the welfare of the people, including teachers in private Islamic schools.
Secretary of Baznas Malang City, Sulthon Hanafi confirmed that this activity was attended by 600 participants from various regions in Malang City. The recipients of this incentive money came from RA (Raudatul Atfal/TK), MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiah), MTS (Madrasah Tsanawiah) private schools in Malang City.
"This activity is the second, this activity is a collaboration between Baznas, the Ministry of Religion, and the Malang City Government," said Sulton.
If currently the form is still in the form of consumptive assistance, Sulton said that in the future Baznas wants to roll out better activities. Among those currently being prepared is business development. (cah/yon)
