Lowokwaru, MC - The determination of the Indonesian government to organize an effective and efficient government continues to be fully supported by the ranks of the Communication and Information Service (Kominfo) of East Java Province. Among them by holding a Technical Coordination Meeting for the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for the Kominfo Sector of Regency/City throughout East Java in 2015 at Bakorwil Malang, Monday (16/2).

Director of Public Communications of the Directorate General of Information and Public Communications of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Tulus Subardjono, said that the reduction in the budget for official travel should not make the ranks of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics weak. By not being able to meet in person, the choice is to maximize Information Technology (IT) to be able to serve the public well.
"The maximum use of Information Technology is in accordance with the Kominfo program towards a better Indonesia. The existence of activities in Bakorwil is to prepare Human Resources (HR) in Kominfo to be more ready in the global era," explained Tulus, Monday (16/02).
The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is getting closer, said Tulus, so improving human resources in IT mastery has become an obligation. With qualified human resources in IT mastery, it is hoped that Indonesia can be more competitive. "In the future, Indonesian nurses will compete with nurses from the Philippines. Our job is to educate so that the Indonesian nation is able to compete," said Tulus.
Tulus added, to be able to compete in the global era there must be a mental revolution so that the Indonesian people are proud of their own products. South Korea can be an example, because almost all South Korean citizens do not use Japanese products and are more proud of their own country's products. "There must be courage and pride in using our own products," said Tulus.
On this occasion, Tulus also explained how the role of Kominfo for a better Indonesia. Among the roles are pursuing increased competitiveness, improving human resources, developing lost potential such as in the maritime sector, reducing inequality between regions, restoring environmental damage, and advancing community life.
