The success of Malang City in holding several mass marriage programs has apparently made North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province come to learn from Malang City. This time, seven representatives from the North Bengkulu Regency government conducted a direct comparative study to Malang City, Tuesday (03/03).
The head of the comparative study group of North Bengkulu Regency, Untung Pramono, said that so far the North Bengkulu Regency government has never held a mass marriage program. In fact, as time goes by, North Bengkulu wants to hold the program.
"We deliberately went to Malang City because after looking through website"Malang City successfully held a mass wedding," explained Untung, Tuesday (03/03).
Having learned directly from Malang City which has successfully implemented a mass marriage program, Untung hopes that upon returning to North Bengkulu, they can have a more concrete picture of mass marriage. This is because this year North Bengkulu plans to hold a mass marriage program like the one that Malang City has done.
"We learned a lot about the ins and outs of mass marriage, including the use of the APBD (Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget), how it can be used to organize and report it," Untung stressed. (cah/yon)
