Arrival of the Kelurahan jury team Award to Polowijen Village, Malang City received an enthusiastic welcome from all members of the village. The Head of Polowijen enthusiastically explained the various advantages of the village where Ken Dedes was born, Thursday (05/03).
Head of Polowijen Village Hari Dwi Yunianto said that during his two years leading Polowijen Village, he saw many extraordinary things in this area. Starting from the Ken Dedes site, the mother of the Javanese kings, to Polowijen which has a world-famous chip and processed product factory.
"Whether they realize it or not, the Polowijen community has various mainstays in each RW (Residents' Association)," explained Hari, Thursday (05/03).
Hari gave an example, in RW 1, Polowijen Village has excellence in the field of organization, in RW 2 is famous for its very religious people. RW 3 excels in the field of sports, RW 4 with food security, and RW 7 which has a famous chip production to foreign countries.
"RW 8 has machine products that have been exported to Africa, currently many people still don't know about it," said Heri.
Not only that, in Polowijen Village there is also the tomb of Joko Lolo whose existence is still a mystery. It is suspected and many people around believe that it is the tomb of Ken Arok.
"If it is true that Joko Lolo's grave is Ken Arok's grave, of course that is something extraordinary. Therefore, a deeper study is needed," Hari emphasized.
Regarding the assessment from the Kelurahan Award jury team, Hari welcomed it very well and made Polowijen Village even more enthusiastic to continue improving. With the progress that has been achieved so far, he is optimistic that Polowijen Village can be the best. (cah/yon)
