The Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia (Menkop and UKM RI), Anak Agung Gede Ngurah (AAGN) Puspayoga visited the Malang City Government (Pemkot). This working visit was to socialize various programs and policies of the Ministry of Cooperatives and UKM RI. The ministry's entourage was received directly by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Friday (06/03).
The Malang City Police Chief, Commander of the 0833 Malang Military District Command, Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP and all Heads of Regional Work Units (SKPD) within the Malang City Government and also representatives of UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Malang City also attended the working visit of the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to the Malang City Government this time.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton said that the development of cooperatives in Malang City has been very rapid. Almost all MSMEs in Malang City have received a place and positive response in the national and even international arena. "Many local products in Malang City are superior products," said the man who is often called Abah Anton.
"Call it tempeh chips, processed health food and drinks by residents, candy, seaweed, and so on. Some of these products have penetrated the market at the national and international levels. We should be proud of all of that, and the Malang City Government will continue to provide guidance and assistance," added the PKB politician.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, AAGN Puspayoga, said that currently the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has a program to protect UMKM actors by providing copyright protection for the work of the nation's children, especially UMKM, with a relatively fast and easy process with a maximum service time of one day and free of charge.
This, he said, was because the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs had signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding/memorandum of understanding_red) with the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM) to provide copyright to all SME products in Indonesia. "For SME actors, they can take advantage of this facility, so that the products they already have can immediately have their patents processed, so that they are not recognized by other parties," he appealed.
"We hope that the local government will also be open and always coordinate with all agencies, both central and regional, so that the programs and activities that have been set can run optimally, especially for the progress of cooperatives and SMEs in Malang City," concluded AAGN Puspayoga.
