Although no longer young, the burning spirit was still visible at the 55th Anniversary of the Class of 45 at the Pepabri Building (Association of Retired Armed Forces of the Republic) in Malang City. The cry of independence was heard repeatedly as each of the speakers who were present gave their speeches, Saturday (14/03).
Chairman of the Daily Council of the Malang City Branch of the Struggle Cultivation Agency 45 (DHC-BPK 45) Ir. Hariyanto said that this activity was a means of friendship. In addition to being attended by members of the 45 Generation from DHC Malang City, this activity was also attended by participants from Malang Regency and Batu City.
"Many of the '45 Generation fighters may have passed away, we as the next generation will continue to ignite the spirit of the fighters in filling independence," explained Hariyanto, Saturday (14/03).
Hariyanto said that with the existence of silturahmi like today, there are many things that can be done so that the Generation of 45 can be more existent. The Generation of 45 must not slacken, must remain enthusiastic and continue to never give up.
With the increasing number of members coming from various levels of society, Hariyanto hopes that in the future more can be done. Not only just meeting, but how to create various positive activities so that they can be an example for the younger generation.
Meanwhile, the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City, Drs. Wahyu Setianto, MM representing the Mayor of Malang who was unable to attend admitted that he was happy with the existence of activities like this that could foster ideas to jointly advance Malang City.
