For Muslims, salawat is one of the keys to calming the soul and distancing oneself from reprehensible deeds. If we often read salawat, in addition to getting rewards, it can also make the heart calm and peaceful.
In addition, salawat can also create peace in society and maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Based on sincerity and gratitude to Allah SWT, of course there will be many benefits and blessings from the salawat itself for us.
At least those are some of the things conveyed by the Deputy Governor of East Java, Drs. H. Saifullah Yusuf in the event of Lailatul Ijtima' (LI), Istigasah, Salawat, review of the Al-Muqtathofat Book of the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Management (PCNU) of Malang City which was held on Monday (16/3) night at the Official Residence of the Mayor of Malang on Jl. Ijen No. 2 Malang.
The man who is familiarly called Gus Ipul added that when we recite salawat together in one place, for example as was done yesterday, the blessings of the salawat will not only be received or felt by the people present, but also all the local residents.
"Until now I should be grateful because there are still many Muslims who like to read salawat. I am very grateful to the ustaz, kiai, and Islamic leaders because they can still maintain the faith of the people," added Gus Ipul in front of the congregation of the study group led by KH. Marzuki Mustamar.
As long as there are still many Muslims who recite salawat, explained Gus Ipul, God willing, the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia will be maintained. We do not know what will happen if the kiai and ulama cannot maintain the faith of the people. "The kiai and ulama should continue to fight to maintain the faith of the people. If the kiai and ulama do not maintain the faith of the people, then there will be destruction in various aspects of life," he explained.
The same thing was also conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, according to him, the reading of salawat in Malang City must continue to resound so that this city remains safe and peaceful. "We will never stop to promote salawat. This is a real manifestation of Malang City as a dignified city," he explained.
The man who is often called Abah Anton added that there are several big salawat events held by the Malang City Government. One of them, which is attended by many congregations, will be held again on March 31. "The event is titled Bhumi Arema Bermunajat with Habib Syech Bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf at the Gajayana Stadium in Malang," he said.
"We hope that all Muslims, especially those in Malang City, can attend the event. Let us pray for the city we love for security, peace, prosperity, and blessing (blessing_red) salawat can be felt together.
