The determination of musicians and artists to elevate Malang City through arts and culture received a warm welcome from member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Moreno Suprapto. In the dialogue that took place at the Malang Bernyanyi Gallery (GMB) in Perum Griya Shanta Block G No. 47 Malang City, there were many creative ideas that could be explored, Wednesday (18/3).

"I am happy to be able to meet directly with artists and cultural actors in Malang City. From this activity we collect various interesting proposals to be brought to the center," explained Moreno, Wednesday (18/3).
The same thing was expressed by the Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office, Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si who admitted that she was very concerned and had high concern so that artists in Malang City could exist again. Her party will fully support various arts and cultural activities in Malang City, including in terms of providing buildings.
"Currently, the Gajayana arts building has been renovated, for artists in Malang City who want to hold Event in that place will be free of charge. The requirement is to make an official application to the Disbudpar first," explained Ida.
Meanwhile Lady Rocker The first Indonesian from Malang City, Sylvia Saartje said musicians in Malang want to have a special art performance building like in the 70s and 80s. In that era, Malang City already had the Pulosari GOR, Tenun Building, and Cendrawasih Building which were very representative for holding concerts and art performances.
"Unfortunately, those buildings are no longer there and have been turned into malls and shops. I hope that Malang City will now build another representative concert building," Sylvia said. (cah/yon)
