The tax revenue target of the Malang City Regional Revenue Service in 2015 is Rp. 270 billion. And until now, according to the Head of the Malang City Revenue Service, Ir. To achieve the tax target, Dispenda has conducted tax awareness socialization in malls, universities, schools and made efforts to directly visit new taxpayers (WP) and conduct tax operations. No less important, previously the Malang City Government had alsolaunching electronic tax (e-Tax) namely the method of paying taxes in cash online.

"In conducting joint tax operations and sealing stubborn taxpayers, we involve officers from the Police, Satpol PP (Civil Service Police Unit_ed), BP2T (Integrated Licensing Service Agency_ed), TNI, and the prosecutor's office. In this joint operation, we do not immediately seal the taxpayer's object, but carry out several procedures such as providing tax billing letters, collecting, and inviting taxpayers to the Dispenda office," said Ade, Thursday (2/4).

When our steps are ignored by the Taxpayer, explained the former Head of Public Relations of Malang City Government, then his party will seal and even close the operation of the Taxpayer concerned. "Based on our evaluation, legal action is the most effective to increase tax payment compliance," added Ade.

The results of this tax collection, he said, will later be returned to the people in the form of development or other welfare programs. Therefore, we urge the community to be obedient in paying this tax. "Tax is the largest source of income to finance development. If taxes are minimal, then development will also falter," explained Ade.

When asked whether the tax awareness socialization program that Dispenda has been conducting will be stopped, the man who is often called Ade D'Kross said no. Because, the method is still quite effective in providing knowledge about taxation, especially for young people. "If they understand the importance of taxes from an early age, then in the future they are expected to be good examples of taxpayers," he said.

"Because this method of taking action against taxpayers is more effective, in the future we will increase the implementation of joint operations against taxpayers who do not have good intentions in paying taxes. The worst possibility if it is necessary, then we will take legal action against taxpayers who are not cooperative," concluded Ade. (say/yon)
