Why did the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) enter the realm of education, because this is one of the KPK's duties to prevent corruption in the field of education. In this context, the KPK has discussed and dialogued with the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), and Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, as well as other related parties.

That was what was conveyed by the Acting Director of Education and Community Services of the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK), Guntur Kusmiano, at the opening ceremony. Focus Discussion Group (FGD) in the Malang City Hall Courtroom, Thursday (9/4). According to him, the world of education is very prone to corruption, therefore the KPK went to the field to provide clarification.
"We have been monitoring in an integrated manner in the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to close the holes of corruption. However, we also take preventive measures against corruption. Anyone, especially policy makers, can be trapped in this crime of corruption," Guntur explained.

"In this case, Malang City along with seven other regencies/cities are the first targets in corruption prevention measures by the KPK. This is a request from the KPK leadership and we must carry it out as well as possible," Guntur continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Education Office, Dra. Zubaidah, MM said that her party had taken various anticipations so that corruption would not occur, especially in terms of budget use. "Regarding the use of this budget, it is indeed very prone to corruption. However, we are trying our best to minimize the occurrence of corruption," she added.
When asked about the vulnerability of corruption in Malang City, especially in the world of education, the veiled woman admitted that anyone and no matter how much the value of a fraud, will be found guilty if proven.
