The construction of Merdeka Square continues to be accelerated so that it will be completed in the near future. The construction process, according to the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, is almost finished, and only waiting for several facilities that are still under construction.
"Some of the facilities that have not been completed include lights, seats, and children's play rides. From the funding provider Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), namely BRI continues to make maximum efforts to immediately resolve it," explained the number one person at the Malang City Government, Saturday (23/5).
In terms of budget, he said, from the original Rp 5,9 billion, an additional Rp 1,5 billion has been given for the construction of a fountain facility that can also dance and is equipped with lighting games. "Hopefully it will be finished soon, and we are targeting it to be finished in June," added the man who is often called Abah Anton.
In addition, the PKB politician continued, there will be flower pots on each visitor's seat to add to the beauty of the square park, and the CSR provider has agreed. "The addition of wooden chairs has also received a special budget allocation from them," explained Abah Anton.
"We continue to coordinate with the CSR provider to immediately complete the construction of the town square. This program is also to strengthen the predicate of Malang City which is also a Tourism City in addition to the City of Education and Industrial City," concluded Abah Anton. (say/yon)
