However, Yudhi said, the Malang City Government did not remain silent about this. There are several program steps that have been taken, such as continuing to provide guidance to farmer groups, providing agricultural equipment assistance, and developing processed agricultural products and agribusiness.

"Meanwhile, the Malang City Government's efforts to meet food needs include encouraging increased rice production through agricultural intensification, including through agricultural mechanization programs, direct assistance for superior seeds, integrated crop management field schools, and optimization of agricultural land," added Yudhi.

Meanwhile, Adrianus Bria Seran, SH as the Chairman of the DPRD and also the leader of the group said that the purpose and objective of his working visit to the Malang City Government was to study the various systems and programs as well as strategies implemented by the Malang City Government in cultivating agricultural land.

He said that Malaka Regency has quite extensive agricultural land so that knowledge is needed to cultivate it. "Hopefully this working relationship is not limited to this working visit, but can continue in sharing information and cooperation," explained Adrianus.

"The results of this working visit will later be implemented in our area. We hope that the management of agricultural land in Malaka Regency can be more advanced and better in the future. Although not an agricultural area, we think Malang City is quite good at managing existing agricultural land," said Adrianus. (say/hms/yon)
