In accordance with the message of the Mayor of Malang delivered by Drs. Sutiaji, he hopes that Malang City athletes can perform optimally and achieve their best achievements in Banyuwangi.

"In accordance with the mandate of the Mayor of Malang, the bonus for Malang City athletes who excel will be worth more than the bonus received by Surabaya City athletes," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Contingent, Husni Ali, revealed that the Malang City Porprov contingent brought 486 athletes with a target of winning 62 gold medals to be able to win second place again.

"To beat Surabaya seems a bit difficult, because in terms of funding, number of athletes, and facilities owned by Malang City is still far compared to Surabaya. Second place is a realistic target," explained Husni, Monday (1/6).

Starting from undergoing various trial matches at the Malang City level itself, matches outside the region, to implementing the program character building.

"The children are very ready to appear in Porprov V. We ask for the prayers and blessings of the people of Malang City so that Malang City athletes can achieve for the pride of our beloved city," hoped Husni. (cah/yon)
