The Center for Research and Development (Literacy and Profession) of the Human Resources Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) held a National Certification Facilitation based on SKKNI (Indonesian National Work Competency Standards_ed) in the field of Kominfo for the 2015 Young Workforce at the Atria Hotel and Conference Malang, Friday (12/6) to Monday (15/6).

This activity was held in order to help expand job opportunities and improve work for the younger generation ahead of the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Participants in this certification are graduates of SMK, D1, D2, D3 in Information and Communication Technology who have not worked and are not continuing their education.
Head of the Center for Literacy and Profession Research and Development of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Prof. Dr. Gati Gayatri, MA, said that with the implementation of the MEA, the flow of foreign workers coming to Indonesia will certainly increase. In order for Indonesian workers to win the competition, various preparations must continue to be made.
"In the last two years, even though the MEA has not been opened, the flow of foreign workers has flooded Indonesia, especially in the field of informatics. That is why Kominfo continues to try to help improve the quality of Indonesian workers with various activities, including certification," explained Gati, Friday (12/6).
By having good human resources (HR), Gati is confident that Indonesian workers will be able to compete in the global market. Therefore, the current HR continues to improve its capabilities so that it is more ready to face global competition.
Meanwhile, Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for East Java V Malang Electoral District, Nurhayati Ali Assegaf in her speech said, the Indonesian nation should not be inferior in facing global competition. The existence of a free market does not need to be feared, instead it must be addressed as a profitable opportunity. (cah/yon)
