The Malang City women's basketball team had to acknowledge the strength of the women's team from Kediri at the East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) V which was held at the Sahabat GOR, Banyuwangi Regency, Friday (12/6).
In the match for the bronze medal, the Malang City women's basketball team had to submit with a final score of 42-18. The coach of the Malang City team, Yudistira Adi Pratama said that this year's achievement was better than last year.
"We are currently in the top four. And whatever our achievements, I thank all the players for their hard work. Let's make this a lesson. Our target is to reach the final round, but in reaching the top four there must be a blessing. By losing today, in the future we might be able to win," explained the bespectacled man.
In the future, he said, everyone must learn to commit and respect others, so as to produce something maximal. "Now I am the person who is most proud of you (the team). I ask that no one regrets this result. The next Proprov must be even better," he said.
After the game was over, all the players and coaches gathered on the sidelines of the basketball court to make corrections and provide motivation. Almost all the players shed tears over this defeat. They were touched and gave each other support, because this is not the end of everything. (say/yon)
