The Malang City Government continues to boost the development and addition of Green Open Spaces in Malang City. After several interactive parks such as Trunojoyo Smart Park, Kunang-kunang Park, Merbabu Family Park, and also Singha Merjosari Park were inaugurated, now the Malang City Government, in collaboration with a third party, will revitalize the Malabar City Forest, Tuesday (16/6).
To transform the Malabar City Forest into something more attractive, the Malang City Government is fully supported by PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, which is providing funds. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Rp 2,5 billion. Some of the facilities that will be added include a performance stage, a chat garden, a tree house, a bicycle path, an artificial river, a children's play area, and various other facilities.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton revealed that his party has been in discussions regarding the development of the Malabar City Forest with PT Amerta Indah Otsuka for the past year. From the various meetings, it was finally agreed to revitalize the Malabar City Forest.
"The revitalization of the Malabar Forest has been well-conceptualized. The point is that the revitalization must still beautify and fulfill the aesthetics as a city park," explained the man who is often called Abah Anton, Tuesday (16/6).
With the revitalization of the Malabar City Forest which is not far from the Merbabu Family Park, Abah Anton hopes that the habitat of all types of plants in the Malabar City Forest will remain sustainable, birds can breed well because the sustainability of the forest is maintained. (cah/yon)
I am one of the supporters of the revitalization of parks in the city of Malang. The reason is very simple because the park can be a cheap entertainment for the community. The development of the park is a breakthrough by Abah Anton as mayor, considering that Malang in the last ten years has been more intensively "planted" with shophouses. However, lately there has been concern, the concern is related to the "revitalization" of the Malabar city forest. As far as I have observed, the Malabar city forest land has a very different characteristic from other parks. Why do I say different, because in the city forest there is an animal habitat that will likely be displaced by the crowds along with the many visitors who come in the future. Different from Merjosari Park which was previously a rice field, different from Malabar City Park which is next to it because it used to be an open field. For that, I ask Abah Anton and the related agencies to consider transforming the city forest into a city park. Greetings.
