Lowokwaru, MC - A new interesting and enjoyable experience for foreigners in Malang City can see and practice for themselves how to make Malang's signature crackers. This was seen when foreign students participated Entrevolution the result of cooperation between AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) and the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) came directly to the cracker making business on Jl. Mawar, Lowokwaru Village, Malang City, Tuesday (7/7).

They were very enthusiastic when learning to make dough from wheat flour mixed with fish, tapioca flour, salt, onion, sugar and other ingredients. Moreover, the owner of the cracker business, Fery Adhi Kusuma, turned out to be very good at English, so he could explain in detail about his business to the students.
One of the foreign students from Vietnam, Chan Ngu Yet, said that crackers are also widely found in his country. However, most of them are made using modern machines. In Malang City, he was very happy because he could see firsthand how crackers were made in a traditional way. "The packaging of crackers here is also still very simple. I am sure that if the packaging is made more attractive, the price of crackers can be better," Chan explained, Tuesday (7/7).
At AIESEC itself, Chan participated in the program Enrevolution (entrepreneurial activities for students) because from here he learned a lot and shared knowledge with business owners so that their businesses could grow even further.
In line with Chan, a foreign student from Poland, Caroline admitted that she was very impressed and very happy to be able to directly see and practice how to make crackers. According to her, although making Malang's typical crackers is still simple, the taste of the crackers is delicious. "I was satisfied to be able to try making crackers directly. I want to market Malang's typical crackers in Poland," said Caroline.
Meanwhile, Fery Adhi Kusuma said, in addition to Caroline and Chan, on the same day he also guided a student from Egypt, Elham Karim, to learn how to make crackers. He added that so far his business has often been a destination for tourists and foreign students who want to see firsthand how crackers are made. "Before this, there were guests from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Netherlands who came directly to my business," explained Fery.
From the foreign guests who came to his house, he gained a lot of valuable experience and was able to expand his cracker product sales network. The market reach of his cracker products is currently not only in various regions in Indonesia, but also marketed abroad such as in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. "Currently, we make many cracker flavors, starting from onion, catfish, milkfish, tuna, and wader," concluded Fery. (cah/yon)
