'Prevention is better than cure', that is the slogan carried by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton in anticipating the vulnerability of criminal acts as the Eid al-Fitr 1436 H holiday approaches.
At the alert roll call at Malang City Square, Tuesday (7/7), the man who is often called Abah Anton told the ranks of the Police, TNI, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Transportation Service, and all residents of Malang City to increase their security and vigilance ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1436 H.
This is because every year, especially around Eid, crimes and criminal acts tend to increase compared to normal days. "This roll call is not only carried out to regulate street vendors (Pedagang Kali Lima_ed) around the town square, but mainly to increase the security of residents," said the number one person in the Malang City Government, Tuesday (7/7).
Abah Anton also appealed to residents to always be vigilant and not to be careless, because criminals are currently very observant in looking for opportunities to act. "For residents who want to go home, they should secure their homes before leaving. One way is by using double locks," he appealed.
The alert roll call ended with the division of security area tasks to the ranks of the Police, TNI, Satpol PP, and Dishub at points considered prone to crime. The hope is that on Eid day, Malang City will remain safe and conducive. (say-hms/yon)
