"Later, we will strengthen and enlarge NU and various NU organizations together so that NU will be more advanced, developed and strong. In essence, we will make improvements in the religious and social fields, especially those related to the Nahdliyin (read: Nahdlatul Ulama members_ed). To realize all that, we will remain based on the teachings and guidance of the ahli sunnah waljamaah," explained KH Mahruf Amin, Thursday (6/8).
Regarding tensions, differences of opinion and unpleasant issues during the implementation of the congress, according to him, all of that is a common thing. "Alhamdulillah, everything that happened can be resolved well. We are grateful that in the end the NU community can unite, be compact, and carry out all the congress agendas according to the program," added the elderly kyai.
In the future, continued KH Mahruf Amin, his party will embrace all parties, especially those who may have less understanding with NU, so that NU becomes a moderate organization. "We will also socialize Islam Nusantara with its various programs. Hopefully everything that will be implemented will bring blessings to the wider community. Therefore, we hope that all communities and Nahdliyin can support all NU work programs," he added.
Separately, the Chairman of the Regional Committee of the 33rd NU Congress, H. Saifullah Yusuf said that all trial processes had gone well and were taken with a quorum decision. "Whether in a plenary session or in a commission session, all were quorum. So there is nothing to debate anymore, and indeed this is democracy, there is always a winner and there is always a loser.
