Several locations that were the objects of assessment were, Posyandu Apukat, Kasin Village, UMKM Linika in Kebonsari, and Taman Cerdas Trunojoyo. Accompanied by the Mayor of Malang and several heads of SKPD and staff, the jury team conducted specific verification.

For example, when in Kasin Village, the assessment team asked about various activities and where the funding came from. Likewise, when in Trunojoyo Park, the assessment team also asked one of the park visitors who at that time brought his family to enjoy the beauty of the park.

From the temporary verification results, according to the head of the verification team, Prayit Susilo Aji, Malang City is already good, such as attention to people with disabilities, utilization of Green Open Spaces (RTH), community participation, and others.

"The Healthy City award will not just be an ordinary award, but rather how the local government follows up and synergizes with the community in developing their region, and providing various public facilities," added Prayit, Thursday (20/8).

Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that his party is optimistic that they can win the Healthy City award in 2015. "We have always won awards like that for the past few years, so it is fitting if Malang City wins it again," explained the PKB politician. (say/yon)
