Klojen, MC – In order to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Malang City will hold a large-scale band performance event entitled 'Rock Kemerdekaan'. This event will be held on August 29, 2015 in front of the Malang City Hall Office.

There are 23 bands that will enliven this event, and among them are Hellhound (death metal), Crimson Diary (british rock), Flanella (pop rock) and many more bands from various genres from Malang. While the band Edane will be a special band that will entertain the public of Malang and its surroundings.
The event's organizing committee, KH Luqman Al-Karim, hopes that this rock band performance can educate young people for a better future, so that even though they are members of a rock band, they can set a good example for their families and society in general.
"Let's show the public that rock music is not always synonymous with alcohol and violence. Let's change that impression to be positive, so that the public does not look down on this rock band. This moment will also be an event for regeneration in the music world, especially rock music in Malang City," explained the man who is familiarly called Gus Lukman after a press conference at Malang City Hall, Monday (24/8).
He added that the 23 bands will perform alternately continuously. This means that they will not all perform on August 29, but some will perform in December and the New Year 2016 moment. "Thus there is continuity. And education through this rock band is not easy, and many people think it has no future," added Gus Lukman.
However, continued the caretaker of the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang, statement like that is not absolutely true, and let's prove it and change that perception. "This is not just about event, but for the future of the band, because Malang City is also a barometer city for musicians and music in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton greatly appreciated this grand event. He hopes that new, quality talents will emerge. "Many of our musicians have gone national. I like rock music, and hopefully this will be a moment of revival of rock music in Malang City," he said.
"Show the public that Malang rock musicians deserve to be labeled national. I want to give a special spirit, even though we do not have an optimal forum, but we will try our best," continued the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton.
He further said that Rock music is not identical to alcohol, violence and drugs. If it is packaged well, it will be liked and loved by the community. "Malang City Government will give the widest possible freedom to young people to express themselves in the world of music. Let's show that Arema loves peace and later nothing will happen," continued the PKB politician.
Separately, Ade Herawanto, who is the coach of the veteran band from Malang, D'Kross, advised that the event be held... event This must be safe. "Musicians or bands must practice, work and be creative. Band members should not rely on partying, but let's show our best work to the public," he appealed.
As a rock band kid, he said, we should also not forget the Creator. "We must not forget to worship, and that can be done when break (pause/break_ed). We guarantee that this event will run safely. There are 300 TNI/Polri personnel, 100 Pam Swakarsa (Swakarsa Community Security Forces_ed) and 15 professionals guard who will secure the event.
