Independence Rock Delivers Peaceful Message of Love for the Republic of Indonesia

Rock Kemerdekaan held yesterday, Saturday (29/8) was very lively and witnessed by rock music lovers in Malang and its surroundings. The event that started since noon attracted the attention of thousands of public eyes that filled the stage area in front of Malang City Hall.

Of the 74 participating rock bands, according to the chairman of the organizing committee, KH Luqman Al-Karim, they have been performing since August 11. "In addition to enlivening the 70th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, this Independence Rock is also a means of friendship and regeneration for rock musicians, especially in Malang City," he said, Saturday (29/8).

"We will show the public that rock music has a future, is anti-violence and anti-alcohol. We have witnessed the concert running safely and orderly. That is one real proof, and it is not true that rock music is negative," added the man who is familiarly called Gus Lukman.

In the middle of the concert, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton gave awards to the rock bands and supporters of the event. Not only that, the ranks of Forkompimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum_ed) also read a peace declaration to always be loyal to the Republic of Indonesia. Before the music performance continued, they also sang together on stage.

The performance of the bands Dye Marker, Tani Maju, and D'Kross was very stunning and was able to make the audience jump. Uniquely, when the band D'Kross performed, they collaborated the art of Reog Ponorogo and dance from Saudi Arabia. Not to forget Ade Herawanto as the band's instructor also appeared on stage when singing the song 'Shalawat Bani Hasyim'.

The peak of the Independence Rock music event was closed with the appearance of guest star 'Edane'. The appearance of this famous rock band was very hypnotizing for rock music lovers. The vocalist's greeting to the public also made the young people even more enthusiastic and jumped until the song was finished.

Meanwhile, Dye Maker vocalist Nanang admitted that he was happy to be able to perform at this Rock Kemerdekaan event. "Rock music lovers in Malang are different from a few years ago, now they are more advanced and more mature, so the concert was held safely," added the long-haired man.

The same thing was also conveyed by the vocalist of the band D'Kross Yoki Mareta. According to him, as a native of Malang, of course he was very happy with this event and could perform on the Rock Kemerdekaan stage. "This is a big moment and is always awaited by musicians, especially rock music circles. We hope this event is held as often as possible," he said. (say/yon)
