In order to find and produce quality young football seeds, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) of Malang City held an internal competition divided into four divisions, namely the Main Division, Division I, II and Division III. This event was opened by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang, Tuesday (1/9).
This competition was participated by 12 clubs from the Premier Division, 12 clubs from Division I, 11 clubs from Division II, and 10 clubs from Division III. Event which will run until December 2015 will be held on six football fields in Malang City with a competition system.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Chairman of PSSI Malang City, KH Luqman Al-Karim after the opening ceremony of the tournament which began with a match between PS Putra Jaya and PS Kejora at the Gajayana Stadium.
"We will also program the Persema academy so that it will increase the number of soccer players in Malang City. This is also an event for the revival of Persema which will later become Persema Indonesia," he said.
The man who is familiarly called Gus Lukman added that his party also made various improvements within the PSSI Malang City. He gave an example by increasing welfare for administrators and referees.
Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that the regeneration of football players is very good and should not stop. "Malang City has a great history in the world of football with Gajayana Stadium in particular," explained the PKB politician.
Moreover, currently there are investors from England who offer cooperation and will make Gajayana Stadium international class. The plan is that in 2016 there will be certainty and currently various considerations, surveys, and feasibility tests are still being carried out.
"If everything is final, then the plan will be realized soon. Thus, later Gajayana Stadium will be used as a place for national and international football competitions," explained the man who is often called Abah Anton. (say/yon)
