The tax operation in the third quarter was held to provide a positive effect, especially for taxpayers (WP) who are in arrears in paying their taxes. In the future, it is expected that taxpayers can pay their taxes according to the amount and time that has been determined.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Revenue Service, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT in the midst of the joint tax awareness operation, Tuesday (1/9). The target of this operation, he said, is all potential tax sectors such as advertising tax, parking, restaurants, entertainment venues, and PBB (Land and Building Tax).

"The target of this tax operation is the result of sweeping by tax officers in March and June 2015 and has been given warnings three times to pay taxes but ignored them. If during a tax operation like this there is no good faith from the taxpayer, then we will not hesitate to demolish the tax object, such as for advertising tax," Ade explained, Tuesday (1/9).

This joint operation is still being carried out even though the regional tax target in the third quarter has actually met the target. The reason is, the effectiveness of this operation can be seen from the realization last August, such as hotel tax from the target of IDR 22,1 billion has been realized by IDR 17,8 billion (84,46%), and restaurant tax from the target of IDR 28,4 billion has been realized by IDR 23,57 billion (82,78%).

Other regional tax sector achievements are entertainment tax from the target of Rp 4,9 billion currently realized Rp 4 billion (81,44%), advertising tax realized Rp 14 billion from the target of Rp 16,6 billion (75,3%), PPJ (Street Lighting Tax) realized Rp 30,29 billion from the target of Rp 38,6 billion (78,46%). For parking tax from the target of Rp 2,5 billion realized Rp 23,7 billion (95,07%).

No less important, groundwater tax can be realized Rp 481 billion from the target of Rp 749 billion (64,29%), PBB from the target of Rp 53,8 billion is realized Rp 50,57 billion (93,89%), and BPHTB (Land and Building Acquisition Fee_ed) from the target of Rp 100 billion is realized Rp 61,61 billion (61,58%).

The overall tax target in 2015 is Rp 270 billion and has now reached Rp 205,69 billion (76,18%). Until the end of 2015, the Head of the Revenue Service is optimistic that the tax target can be met and even exceeded as in previous years.

This joint operation combed 31 taxpayer points, which included 13 boarding house taxpayers, seven advertising taxpayers, six restaurants, and nine PBB taxpayers. "We will try our best with various efforts, because basically this tax will return to the people," concluded Ade. (say/yon)
