A total of 70 Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in Malang City participated in this event enthusiastically. In addition to being free of charge, participants also received all the materials such as glue, scissors, corn husks, and other necessary tools.

In addition to empowering and providing skills to MSME actors, with this training, their craft products will also be sent abroad, such as to China and Thailand.

Not only domestically, the demand for various types of local products is also in great demand in other countries. For IKM actors who have products and want to sell quickly, Garuda Jaya Cooperative is also ready to accommodate them.

That was conveyed by one of the training instructor assistants, Suwarni, when met on the sidelines of the event. According to her, demand from abroad such as China, for one type of craft can reach 12 thousand units in one month.

"This is a great opportunity for us to improve our skills in making various crafts, and we are ready to facilitate marketing and sales," added the woman in the hijab, Friday (11/9).

Head of the Textile and Miscellaneous Industry Development and Development Section of the Malang City Trade and Industry Office, Nugroho Nanang Jauhari, said that his party will continue to improve and provide various training to MSME actors in Malang City.

"Not only will we help in terms of training and marketing, we will also include potential SMEs in various local, national and international exhibition events," he explained.

On the other hand, one of the training participants, Oktaviani, admitted that she was very happy with this training. In addition to gaining new knowledge and experience, she also realized that items that tend to be less useful actually have high selling value. "I will continue this skill at home with various creations. And I am also very happy if every time there is a training I am always invited," she said.

At the end of the training, participants were required to show their work and a special assessment was held by the Department of Industry and Trade and the instructors. Some of the best works received awards. This is a form of appreciation and a souvenir, so that later the IKM actors are expected to be motivated and continue to work to produce quality products. The training participants looked very happy, and hoped that they would soon follow other trainings. (say/yon)
