The Malang City Agriculture Service (Disperta) held an activity to Disseminate Antemortem and Postmortem Inspections of Sacrificial Animals for Mosque Caretakers and PKK Mothers throughout Malang City at the Savana Hotel Malang, Wednesday (16/9).

Head of the Malang City Agriculture Service (Disperta) Ir. Hadi Santoso said that this dissemination activity was attended by 110 participants consisting of 95 mosque administrators and 15 from the PKK. This activity was held to provide information and knowledge on how to choose and slaughter sacrificial animals properly.
It is hoped that through activities like this, the public will be able to better understand how to distinguish between healthy and sick meat and that this activity can be an educational event on how to treat sacrificial animals before slaughtering them.
"The different handling of the animals already has different conditions, starting from small things on how to feed, to maintaining the condition of the sacrificial animals are taught in this activity," explained Soni, the nickname of Ir. Hadi Santoso, Wednesday (16/9).
Soni added, for the first day's activities at the Savana Hotel, there was more theory, only on the second day were the participants invited to practice directly slaughtering sacrificial animals. The plan is for this direct practice to be carried out at the Malang City Slaughterhouse (RPH).
"While currently there are still takmir and PKK being provided with socialization, in the future there will be more, including providers of aqiqah services, chicken slaughterers and other livestock," stressed Soni.
Through this effort, the Malang City Agriculture Service hopes to support the efforts of the Malang City Government to improve the welfare of the community and improve health through the fulfillment of good nutrition, including the availability of healthy, halal and quality meat. (cah/yon)
