In order to ensure the health and suitability of sacrificial animals sold by traders, the Malang City Agriculture Service (Disperta) conducted a health check on the sacrificial animals, Monday (21/9).

Since yesterday, Sunday (20/9), the inspection team from Disperta consisting of 39 personnel has been checking the health of sacrificial animals at several points in Malang City, such as at sacrificial animal sellers' stalls on Jl. Raya Sulfat, in the Kedungkandang area, and other areas.
Head of Malang City Disperta, Ir. Hadi Santoso said that this event is a series of his program to continue monitoring sacrificial animals in Malang City. Although so far there have been no findings of unhealthy sacrificial animals, the inspection team will continue to work.
"We don't want to be caught off guard until the slaughtering of sacrificial animals on September 24. Most of the sacrificial animal sellers are from outside Malang City, so we will remain vigilant. Don't let unhealthy animals be sold," added the man who is familiarly called Soni, Monday (21/9).
Similar things were conveyed by one of the veterinarians who is also the Head of the Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Division of the Malang City Disperta, Drh. Anton Pramujiono. According to him, the examination of sacrificial animals must be thorough, starting from the head, eyes, ears, skin, anus, legs and how the animal eats.
Anton further said that if an unhealthy animal is found, he will inform the animal seller not to sell it. In addition to goats, the team of doctors also conducted a heart examination of cows, to ensure that the animals are truly healthy and fit for slaughter.
Separately, one of the sacrificial animal sellers, Supadi, said that his party was pleased with the existence of this animal health check. "If there are animals that are not healthy, they can be immediately identified and treated. This is very good and beneficial for us," explained the man from Madyopuro, Malang City. (say/yon)
