Malang City Government Holds Public Service Innovation Socialization

In an effort to accelerate the improvement of the quality of public services to the community, the Malang City Government held a Public Service Socialization Towards Good Governance and Technical Guidance for the Public Satisfaction Survey (SKM) at the Savana Malang Hotel, Wednesday (23/9). This event was attended by 200 people from the Regional Work Units (SKPD) within the Malang City Government and other invitees.

Deputy Mayor of Malang, Drs. Sutiaji who read the speech of the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton said that regional autonomy has an impact on the increasing demands of the community for services in various areas of life and with the enactment of Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services.

"In providing public services we must understand the equality between rights and obligations. The government must be able to change mindset bureaucratic behavior from a culture of authority to a culture of service so that the government is always present among the people," explained Sutiaji, Wednesday (23/9).

In facilitating citizens to obtain services, he added, the government can implement the knowledge gained to the community. "All service units within the Malang City Government are obliged to provide the best service in accordance with the Service Standards (SP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)," added the bespectacled man.

With the implementation of the socialization of public service innovation towards good governance and technical guidance for this public satisfaction survey, continued the PKB politician, can provide a common understanding regarding efforts to develop creativity and innovation in public services.

At the end of the event, it was continued with the provision of material on public service innovation that must be carried out competitively, adaptively, exchanging experiences and sustainably by the Deputy for Public Services of the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Mirawati Sudjono, Ak, M.Sc.
