The exhibition of Small and Medium Industry (IKM) products held in the yard of the Malang Regional Coordination Agency (Bakorwil) 3 office was opened by the Head of Bakorwil 3 Malang, Dr. Idrus Achmad, M.Si, Thursday (1/10).
IKM throughout Bakorwil III from nine regencies/cities including Malang City, Malang Regency, Batu City, Probolinggo Regency, Lumajang Regency, Jember Regency, Bondowoso Regency, Situbondo Regency and Banyuwangi Regency presented their superior products.
In addition, this exhibition is also enlivened by agate craftsmen from various regions. An event like this is one of the actualization and promotion forums for SMEs to compete in the global era. Moreover, in December 2015, the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) era will be entered.
Head of Bakorwil 3 Malang, Dr. Idrus Achmad, M.Si said that each region must continue to improve the quality of its superior products so that they are able to compete in the global market.
"No less important, every product must have a clear expiration label, pass health tests, be certified, pass halal standards and be packaged as attractively as possible. Thus the product will sell well in the market," added Idrus, Thursday (1/10).
According to him, event exhibitions must be numerous so that visitors have many choices. "East Java's IKM products are already good, and just need to be polished a little more.
