The Malang City Government handed over grant assistance to the community at the Samaan Community Empowerment Institution (LPMK) Office, Klojen District, Malang City, Tuesday (13/10).
The grant fund assistance amounting to Rp. 250 million was distributed in two stages. The first stage will be distributed various non-physical activity items in the form of sound system, chairs, pergolas, plant seeds, coffins and equipment.
In his speech, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton wanted all of this assistance to be right on target because the grant funds were not disbursed continuously. Therefore, it must be utilized well and as optimally as possible.
The man who is familiarly called Abah Anton added, the Malang City Government will soon adjust the existing regulatory policies. The grant budget for LPMK in 2016 will later be directly distributed to each sub-district.
"This LPMK is already a legal entity, so in 2016 there will be no problems. Later, the grant funds will be managed by the community itself," he said.
The distribution of grant funds should be monitored to prevent misappropriation of funds.
