SDN Model Malang City and SD Plus Al-Kautsar finally advanced to the National Quality Culture Competition. Officially, the national jury conducted judging at the two schools representing Malang City, Thursday (15/10).
Quality Culture Competition is a program of the Directorate of Elementary School Development, Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Quality culture is the implementation of rules and regulations agreed upon by the school community, internalized and carried out continuously so that it becomes a habit.
In this judging, the quality culture visitation team went directly to SD Model to see various activities. The jury team assessed how intracurricular and extracurricular learning activities were carried out, to the children's character in communicating.
Head of Elementary Education of Malang City Education Office, Prayitno said this activity is a follow-up action of the provincial level quality culture program. From the previous assessment, there were two schools in Malang City that entered the national level, namely SDN Model and SD Plus Al-Kautsar.
"The assessment team that came this time was from the Directorate of Elementary Education directly from Jakarta to assess SD Model representing Kedungkandang and SD Al-Kautsar from Blimbing District," Prayitno emphasized, Thursday (15/10).
Prayitno added, in this assessment there were many things that the jury team assessed, starting from the teaching and learning process, activities in the library, the environment, environmental discipline, and also the character of the children. "We hope that the representative from Malang City can become the champion. Where Grand finale "This quality culture competition will be held in Padang around November 2015," Prayitno emphasized.
Meanwhile, SDN Model Student, Nizar Ramadhan said he was not affected by the assessment from the national level quality culture jury team. He is sure that just like during the Adiwiyata competition assessment where SDN Model won the championship, in this competition he is sure he can also become the champion.
"There were a lot of questions asked by the jury team, starting from hobbies to green open spaces (RTH). The questions were easy so they were easy to answer," explained Nizar. (cah/yon)
