UB RiTech 2015, The Latest Research Exhibition

Introducing various extraordinary research results by students, lecturers, and researchers, Universitas Brawijaya held UB RiTech 2015. In the exhibition and meeting held at the UB Sport Club House Building, various latest works were shown to the public, Wednesday (21/10).

Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service of Brawijaya University (LPPM-UB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Woro Busono, MS revealed that this activity was to appreciate the many extraordinary research results at UB. So it is not limited to just being a study on campus, the research results are introduced to the community which is expected to be able to increase benefits in the community.

"There are as many as 70 research results exhibited here for two days, hopefully they can bring more benefits to the community," Woro emphasized, Wednesday (21/10).

Meanwhile, the chief executive of UB RiTech, Akhmad Sabarudin said that this activity was intended to downstream research conducted by students on the UB campus. The exhibition was also filled with various activities such as discussions between students and researchers, government and companies.

"This activity is expected to make research not only limited to report books, but research must be able to bring benefits to society," said Sabarudin.

In this activity, various research fields were exhibited, ranging from energy, food security, nutrition, medicine, government and forestry.

Some of the extraordinary works exhibited at UB RiTech 2015 include the invention of turtle egg incubator, diabetes detector, borax and chemical detector, six-stroke vehicle engine, and so forth. (cah/yon)
