Adhie expressed his deep appreciation for the holding of the Farmers Market in Malang City which was officially launched in March 2015. This is in accordance with the program of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture so that farmers can sell the products they make directly without going through middlemen.

"While in Malang City, we also identified what farmers need to be able to be better at selling the products they make," explained Adhie, Sunday (22/11).

According to Adhie, by going directly to the field to see what farmers really need, it is hoped that when the Ministry of Agriculture provides assistance, it can be right on target. Seeing the Farmers' Market in Malang City which can develop well, he added, in the future in every city/district it is also possible that a farmers' market will be held.

"We are pleased with the concept of the Malang City Farmers Market which makes the farmers market a... to sell. This is good for developing farmer independence," said Adhie.

The limitation of the farmer's market participants, which is only 12 tents, must also be appreciated. Because with such strict limitations, it is hoped that the farmer's market will really sell the best products produced by farmers.

Head of the Malang City Agriculture Service (Disperta) Ir. Hadi Santoso said that the number of participants for the farmer's market is indeed limited to 12 tents and has gone through a thorough study. In this way, it is hoped that the farmer's market will not appear shabby as in general and avoid the impression of being chaotic and unorganized.

"In the farmer's market, everything sold is the result of Malang City farmers' products. The price is the price from the farmers, therefore the price is definitely lower than the one in the market," said Soni, the nickname of Ir. Hadi Santoso. (cah/yon)
