Starfruit, MC - The 16th Anniversary of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Malang City which fell on Thursday (10/12) was very special. Right on this birthday, the Dharma Wanita advisor Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani also shared interesting prizes in the event held at the Atria Hotel Malang, Thursday (10/12).
Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani who is also the wife of the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton invited the husbands, namely civil servants (PNS) in the Malang City Government to be active in Dharma Wanita with the hope that it can make the wives more able to contribute to advancing Malang City.
Umi Farida, the nickname of Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani, said that by actively participating in Dharma Wanita, husbands should not consider their wives as guards who always monitor their husbands' movements. In fact, by participating in Dharma Wanita, the role of wives can be even greater in helping to make their husbands' performance a success.
"With this activity, I ask the gentlemen in the Malang City government to allow their wives to be active in Dharma Wanita," explained Umi Farida, Thursday (10/12).
At the age of Dharma Wanita which is now increasingly mature, it should be able to be better in carrying out its role. Among them is playing an active role in improving the quality of life towards family resilience.
"From the activities at Dharma Wanita, we hope that women can give their best to their families and the nation," he said.
Umi Farida also hopes that Dharma Wanita can play an increasing role in the success of development in Malang City. Dharma Wanita must be able to change the negative view that joining Dharma Wanita is just a matter of hang out which is useless.
In the celebration of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Anniversary, various performances were also presented, ranging from dances, Dharma Wanita mothers' percussion group, and the distribution of prizes for Dharma Wanita competitions. At the end of the activity, the mothers were also invited to compete in harvesting various agricultural products presented by the Malang City Agriculture Service. (cah/yon)
